INVITATION
Dear Colleagues
On behalf of the organizing committees, we cordially invite you to attend the XXII IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry.
The Symposium will be held in the Gothenburg Convention Centre, Gothenburg, Sweden, from 28 July to 1 August, 2008. This will be the latest in a long series of successful symposia, carrying on a tradition of premier biennial gatherings of scientists with interests in photochemistry and related subjects.
The symposium will provide a framework for presentation and discussion of ideas and information on the interaction of light and matter drawn from the following areas:
- Organic and inorganic photochemistry from a synthetic and mechanistic point of view
- Solar energy conversion
- Materials science and engineering
- Supramolecular chemistry and nanotechnology
- Photobiology and biophysics
- Photomedicine
- Photonics and imaging
- Spectroscopy and instrumentation
- Photochromism
- Industrial applications of photochemistry and photophysics
Gothenburg is a beautiful old port city on the West coast of Sweden, and has excellent airline connections to other cities in Europe. A variety of social events and excursions for accompanying persons are being arranged to make your stay more enjoyable.
