ACCOMMODATIONS

Housing is available in hotels near the Conference Center. Inexpensive accommodation (especially for students) is available at the SGS Apartments. Descriptions of the various accommodation options are below. Reservations are made during the registration process.

Hotel Information

Gothia Towers
Gothia Towers Hotel & Convention Centre is the conference venue and appointed headquarters hotel. It is highly recommended, due to both its high level of service and amenities, and its convenience to the conference site.The Gothia Towers is a first class hotel in the city centre, adjacent not only to the Gothenburg Convention Centre, but also to the Ullevi Stadium and the Scandinavium Arena. Together with its 23 story twin hotel, the Gothia Towers is the largest in Scandinavia with 704 rooms. The restaurant and bar on the top floor offer a fantastic view of Gothenburg. Breakfast is included in the rates, which have been favorably negotiated for the IUPAC Symposium.

Liseberg Heden
Hotell Liseberg Heden is a four star business and conference hotel with 179 rooms on two floors. The hotel is built around three beautiful patios where you will find true peace and quiet. The hotel is centrally located within a short walking distance of the Gothenburg Convention Centre (approximately 300 meters), Ullevi Stadium, and the Scandinavium Arena. You will find an easily accessible car park next to the hotel as well as a popular restaurant with a personal atmosphere. Breakfast is included in the rates.

Quality Hotel Panorama
The Panorama is a high standard hotel with 339 rooms. The hotel is situated just a ten minute walk from the Gothenburg Convention Centre, Ullevi Stadium, the Scandinavium Arena and the main street, the Kungsportsavenyn. All rooms are non-smoking rooms. On weekdays there is a free Guest Express shuttle bus between the hotel and the Gothenburg Convention Centre (upon request 24 hours). The hotel offer facilities such as an excellent restaurant, internet connection and the renowned City Spa. Breakfast is included in the rates.

SGS Apartments
SGS is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the Gothenburg Convention Centre, the Scandinavium Arena and the Ullevi Stadium. SGS has single rooms, double rooms and rooms with four beds. All rooms are equipped with shower, WC and TV. You have access to a common kitchen where you can cook your own meals. Linen as well as cleaning after your departure are included in the price. All guests have access to a laundry room. Due to the location with many stairs SGS apartments are unfortunately not able to offer appropriate accommodation to disabled people. This is not a hotel and thus they do not offer any hotel services, which is why the prices are so affordable.

Hostel/Self catering Hotel office hours are:

Tuesday–Friday        from 12.00 hrs to 15.30 hrs.
Saturday                     CLOSED.
Sunday                       from 15.00 hrs to 19.00 hrs.

Please observe these are also hours for collecting your key upon arrival. Outside these hours there is no personnel in the reception. Please contact SGS beforehand, 031-333 63 90, if your arrival time does not coincide with the opening hours.
